I am taking it upon myself to invite all my lady-friends to a luncheon/shower at my mom's on the 25th of August. Not 100% sure of the time yet...I think around three? So it'll be a LATE luncheon, I suppose. Heh heh. My mom isnt sending out formal invitations so yeah, I guess I'm inviting people to my own shower...(in the words of Judy Holliday from 'Born Yesterday', 'It ain't COUTH!'). Anyway, there it is. Any further info can be obtained by calling my mom...
After the 'shower', I'm gonna plan on leaving my kids w/ their nanna and heading off w/ any who care to join me for a 'girls' night out'. Karaoke and sushi sounds sweeeeet!

Of course that's fine. I'm not sure if Jonathan will be w/ me on that trip or not, but if so, I'm sure he'll hang with us Sat night too. And Toby will surely want to come along. So we'll forget about making it a 'girl' night for now...haha.
My friend Barbie is coming w/ me too. I don't know if you remember her. She came w/ me to your graduation party and she was actually my coach w/ Nathan and will be for this one too. She's very 'commanding' to the nurses...LOL.

Just kidding! I don't wish that drive on anyone for just a weekend...yikes. Anyway, I love you and thanks SO MUCH for your sweet gifts. I did get the 'bib set' the same day we talked on the phone and I'm so thrilled to be well-stocked w/ bibs for this baby. They have a nice 'leak-proof' backing on them too that I didnt know about so they'll be perfect if this baby turns out to be a 'spitter' like Johnson.

We should do the song 'Footloose' and get you up there as a 'dancer'. LOL That's what my friend Niki did really well the last time we went to karaoke. She had a little champagne and became a back up dancer!
Ahh... Memories of Niki doing karaoke at Benihanna after a little champagne. I was laughing SO hard! Especially when she got up there with other people and grabbed the mic. Every time I hear "I will survive" I think about her :) :)
