Not to sound obsessively redundant, but this is just a little reminder to my readers to please check the page-a-day blog I have going of this wonderful book, The Man Who Laughs.
www.themanwholaughs.blogspot.com
The pages that are currently being entered are some of the best of the book as the ten year old Gwynplaine, having been abandoned on the seashore, makes his way through the frozen wilderness in search of shelter. The pages are full of thought provoking imagery, detailed characterization, and a gut-wrenching sense of loss. This part of the story is further enhanced by an eerie description of a dead man hanging from a gibbett-a spectre that the child happens upon as he wanders. His struggle to stay alive is starkly contrasted with the eerie peace of the corpse.
Even if you are not following the story thus far, these few pages are worth reading.

Bookyeti,
Have you looked on eBay? I have found some hard to find books on there before.
