Here is one of the lists from the List Yourself book I mentioned on a prior post.
List the situations that always make you cry:
1. Movies Movies Movies: i.e. To Kill a Mockingbird, Dumbo, It's a Wonderful Life, Dead Poets Society, Spartacus
2. Frustration, feeling out of control
3. Disturbing news items: i.e. The Tsunami footage, anything dealing w/ the torture or murder of children, starving children. Incidentally, I HATE the local news. They seem to love getting morbid, as opposed to just relaying facts like reuters. I've sworn off the evening news.

4. Seeing my kids sick or in pain
5. Death (friends, pets, family members)
6. Unexpected acts of kindness
7. A bad haircut (actually that's only happened to me once)
8. Music, especially emotionally charged broadway like Les Miserables or Opera like La Boheme
9. Powerful poetry or lyrics i.e. Christian Dedication in the 'songbook', The Children's Hour, Pale September by Fiona Apple, John Doe No. 24 by Mary Chapin Carpenter, Godspeed by Radney Mitchell (or the Dixie Chicks)
10. Watching new ones get baptized at a convention
11. Also, singing with my spiritual brothers and sisters at the conventions and assemblies.
12. Sudden unexpected pain (like stubbing my toe) or a bad stomach virus or cold, basically just feeling bad makes me cry sometimes
